Job summary

Byron Court is one of two inpatient Assessment and Treatment units in the partnership and there plans to develop one inpatient unit and one crisis and reablement services, The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of these plans and create a new service responsive to the needs of the population we serve.

Byron Court is a 7 bedded inpatient ward that is located in Billericay, Essex. We are based outside of London with a direct mainline station in the town. This role will be working on a 12 hour shift pattern and is eligible for unsocial hour payments of time plus 30%on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8 pm and before 6 amand time plus 60%on Sundays and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight)enhancement on Sundays and bank holidays as well as your normal rate. The positions are full time but part time will be considered. You will need to be able to demonstrate compliance with Key Performance Indicators and CQC Key Lines of Enquiry in meeting service requirements.

The post holder will require knowledge of PBS; Transforming Care; Health Equalities Framework; Mental Health Act; Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards and; current drivers influencing equal access to care for people with Learning Disabilities.

The post holder will act as named nurse in the inpatient service taking a lead role within the care team and ensuring that patients care will be individualised, coordinated, monitored and evaluated and that the patients and their relatives are involved in the care at all times. You will also assist in the coordination of the multi-disciplinary team ensuring the development of quality PBS plans, risk assessments and the delivery of assessment and therapeutic interventions according to need and in the absence of the Unit Manager/Deputy the post holder will provide leadership for Byron Court.
