Job summary

New band 5 and 6 community nurses are offered the opportunity to apply for fast track programmes to support rapid progression to the next band.

An exciting new role has opened in the South East Essex Dementia and Older People's Community Mental Health Services. We are looking to recruit a qualified Community Mental Health Nurse to our growing team.

This role will be based at Sydervelt Centre, Canvey Island, Community Mental Health Team/Older People Services.

Main duties of the job

As the postholder you will ensure all care in delivered in accordance with the Trust's care programme approach guidelines. You will participate in the initial assessment of clients to determine appropriate CMHT/OP Service. You will be responsible for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of recovery based care plans.

You must be able to demonstrate:

Good communication skills

Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Excellent observation skills

Knowledge of current Mental Health developments.

Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with Trusts care programme approach guidelines.

Undertake risk assessments with clients and plan effectively to manage this in care plan with MDT.

Ensure that all interventions are undertaken within established time scales and according to standards of best evidence based practice and operational policy.

To work flexibly currently 9-5 Monday to Friday. This pattern is subject to change to meet clients needs and the guidelines of the National Service Framework and Access & Waiting time guidance.

Attend training as required and be compliant with Mandatory training

Keep updated in all legislative government initiatives.

EPUT offer a fantastic relocation package of up to £8,000. Covering a number of expenditures for new recruits relocating from 30 miles or more from their new work base at EPUT.
