Band 3 - £20,330 - £21,777 per annum

Full Time - 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an energetic Healthcare Assistant to work within the multidisciplinary team who has a genuine desire to play an active part in the care of our patients.

Please note: This job involves shift work covering day, night and weekend shifts -

Long days, 07.00- 20.00 and night shifts, 19.30- 07.30.

If you have been successful at the interview stage, but do not have enough experience for this role, you may be offered a position as a Band 2 (Salary Scale - £18,546 - £19,918 pa) Heath Care Assistant Apprentice. As part of the Band 2 HCA role you will be enrolled onto the Apprenticeship scheme, providing you with the opportunity to earn as you learn. This role enables you to gain valuable experience on the wards/community settings whilst working towards gaining your Care Certificate and naturally progressing into the guaranteed Band 3 HCA role.

Main duties of the job

To assist in the provision of nursing care (psychological, spiritual and sociological as well as physical), to patients in hospital as a member of the proactive nursing team. Direct care will be delivered to patients suffering a range of problems including: dementia/confusion, falls/fractures following strokes, heart and respiratory conditions as well as palliative and terminal care. To have the ability to recognise and report any changes in a patient's condition and needs.
