Job description

Job responsibilities

The award winning staff resilience hub, Here For You, is expanding! We are creating a Social Care specific bolt-on to our already highly successful service. This will consist of a Principal Psychologist, a Senior Psychologist and a Senior Social Worker who will be part of the larger Here For You service. You will work alongside colleagues in Essex County Council and across private care home and domiciliary care providers to deliver support to staff. It is widely known that staff within these settings have suffered considerably as result of the pandemic. This has been acknowledged through the commissioning of this innovative service, which will be under the umbrella of the successful Here For You service. Staff who join this new arm of Here For You will have the opportunity to mirror the successes of Here For You within the Social Care sector and expand, using their creativity and innovation, to reach wider numbers of Social Care staff who would otherwise not receive psychological support.

Here For You is a joint partnership between EPUT and HPFT which delivers staff support services to all health, social care and third sector organisations across Essex and Hertfordshire. Working collaboratively, you will be part of a wide team, consisting of Consultant, Principal and qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologists as well as High Intensity workers, Assistant Psychologists, Social Workers, Nurses, a Project Manager and Administrator. This project won the support and validation from the regional and national NHSEI teams looking at staff support during the COVID-19 pandemic due to its collaborative working at all levels, enterprise and creativity. It has gained the support of three Integrated Care Systems in the area as well as from all acute hospitals in the region. The project aims to both in-reach and outreach to staff working in all three sectors and support cultural shifts in psychological self-care amongst partner organisations. This new initiative aims to create a pathway for all health, social care and third sector colleagues and to provide them with rapid access to evidence based psychological support.

You will work in liaison with your colleagues in the staff support service, Here For You, thereby creating a wide Essex and Hertfordshire based resource. Whilst the new wellbeing hub will be based within these areas, it is anticipated that there will need to be a commitment to remote working and delivery of service.

On 9th November 2021 the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) formally announced that individuals undertaking CQC regulated activities in England must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 no later than 1st April 2022. The purpose of this is to protect all those that use health and social care services, as well as to protect colleagues, and to help reduce the amount of COVID-19 related sickness absences.

Please note that for all roles at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust that fall into the regulated activity criteria, evidence of vaccination status (first and second dose) will become a condition of employment from 1st April 2022. Therefore, please note that if you are successfully appointed at EPUT for one of these roles, your vaccination status will form part of your pre-employment checks.
