This is an exciting opportunity to work in an innovative trauma-informed team, who are committed to promoting a culture of co-production with the people using the service and proactively addressing the experiences of marginalised groups in the criminal justice system. The Inclusion and Involvement service (I&I) was co-developedin partnership with service users and Probation Service London (PSL) in line with desistance principlesas part of theOffender Personality Disorder (OPD) Pathwayproviding services to men and women with complex psychological difficulties and serious offending histories.
The Inclusion and Involvement team (I&I) focus on two overlapping areas. The first is meeting the socialinclusionneeds of people returning to the community from custody.The second area I&I focus on is service userinvolvement.This is the commitment to practice in a way that keeps service user voices and experience central to decisions and practice in how the service operates.

Thisfull time positionwill focus on men's Pathway.Therefore,we are strongly encouraging male applicants to apply. The post holders will also need to pass both DBS and Probation Level Vetting as a condition of the role.
Main duties of the job
Providing and receiving highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information, where developed persuasive, motivational, negotiating, training, empathic or re-assurance skills are required. This may be because agreement or co-operation is required or because there are barriers to understanding.
To build effective, non-coercive relationships with local service users, professionals, and community groups and to develop a positive beneficial channel of two-way communication.
To understand pathway plans and have a knowledge of community services in order to understand procedures and practises as well as developing alternative or additional procedures and standards for improving quality.
Understand statutory services, organisation and funding, current service pressures and key performance requirements.
Provide specialised advice concerning the care of, and development of services, for all people who could use relevant Trust services.
To lead on Lived Experience expertise to provide the best quality of care.
Ensuring that locality premises are responsive to the reception, treatment and care of people from all sections of the community.
Occasional exposure to highly distressing or highly emotional circumstances for example discussing issues of service delivery with service users and managing this in a group setting as well as on an individual level.
