Bedfordshire Talking Therapies (BTT)

Band 6 - Gateway Worker (RMN or other equivalent Core / Allied Health profession)

We are looking for a Registered Mental Health Nurse or other equivalent Core / Allied Health profession with Mental Health experience to assist the single point of entry into BTT in ensuring that new referrals into the service are suitably risk assessed and when not suitable are referred to appropriate agencies. You will also be expected to provide support to clinicians with making appropriate referrals to secondary care mental health services and safeguarding teams. You will play a key role in enhancing inter-agency relationships and interface with these services.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will assist the single point of entry into BTT in ensuring that new referrals into the service are suitably risk assessed and when not suitable are referred to appropriate agencies.

The post holder will also be expected to provide support to clinicians with making appropriate referrals to secondary care mental health services and safeguarding teams.

Playing a key role in enhancing inter-agency relationships and interface, the post holder will be supported, where appropriate, to attend team meetings and deliver collaborative projects/interventions in identified settings as guided by the service's needs. There will also be opportunities for direct clinical interventions and to provide supervision in the service.
