Job summary
Community CAMHS Transition Support Worker
Band 4 - permanent - up to 37.5hr per week
We seek an individual with experience of working with young people in a multidisciplinary setting and of family-centered work, to work proactively in offering support, advice, and information to young people throughout their transition from CAMHS into adult mental health services.
Main duties of the job
The ideal applicant will have previous experience in mental health, the ability to undertake creative 1:1 sessions with young people and have proven experience of working with diverse community groups.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication / engagement skills with ability to organise and prioritise a changing workload and work flexibly. You will have advanced verbal and written communication skills and the ability to support young people in informed decision making. An applied awareness of risk assessment/management, maintaining professional boundaries, effectively advocating on behalf of young people and understanding of issues facing young people and families with complex needs is essential.
Ability to drive and willingness to travel throughout the catchment area of Bedfordshire is required, as is an ability to work in the UK without restriction.
