Job summary

East London Foundation Trust is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Nursing who has the passion and skill to make a sustainable lasting difference to our population and those we serve. Providing influential and visible leadership to shape nursing and clinical practice to deliver the highest quality mental health care in complex and increasingly integrated health economy.

The role requires an individual who has a forward thinking approach to clinical leadership with an ability to demonstrate continuous improvements in nursing practice.

Working with the borough teams, primarily Luton and Bedford mental health services, the director of nursing will provide a proactive, value adding, strategic leadership working internally and with place based strategic partners.

The Director of Nursing will support the Chief nurse across the full range of duties and responsibilities and work collaboratively with other executives, disciplines and departments to deliver outstanding care.

Main duties of the job

Professional Lead for Nurses across the Trust

Support and Develop Nursing staff in line with Nursing andMidwifery Code of conduct

Lead for corporate services

Lead of Work streams delegated by Chief Nurse/ Chief Executive

Deputise for Chief Nurse

Work to support the Trust to deliver strategic aim Role Model Trust Values
