Main duties of the job
- The post holder will lead and manage the podiatry team, ensuring high standards of clinical care.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Provide and support junior podiatrist and other team members.
- Lead our innovative homeless project, providing specialized podiatry care to vulnerable populations.
- Support the Podiatrist covering clinic for homeless population to develop and implement strategies to improve foot health and overall well-being of homeless individuals. Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to ensure comprehensive care is delivered.
- Manage and provide expert care to podiatry team in triaging and treating variety of urgent foot and lower limbs conditions. Ensure timely and effective interventions to prevent complications and promote recovery
- Lead our nail surgery service, performing and supervising surgical procedures. Ensure podiatry team adheres to best practices and maintain high standards of surgical and post-operative care to patients.
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and quality standards.
- Participate in audit, research, and service development, and quality improvement activities of podiatry service.
