Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Health Services in Tower Hamlets. We are looking for a Physiotherapist with experience working with patients across the care pathway and a variety of clinical areas i.e. falls prevention, admission avoidance, general rehabilitation in inpatient or community setting, management of long term conditions and palliative care.
This position is ideal for a band 5 physiotherapists looking to develop their skills and progress into a band 6 position. You will be supported via a bespoke developmental plan and receive input to develop your competencies and confidence to work with clients who have complex presentations. Other specific areas for development will be negotiated. Progress towards re-banding to band 6 level will be regularly reviewed and discussed
The post holder will gain experience assessing and developing treatment programs for a broad range of conditions across various settings in the community. We are committed to provision of high quality patient centered care combined with clinical excellence and involvement in clinical research.
The service has a strong and well established training and education programme, along with robust personal development review programme to support staff with their learning and development.

Main duties and responsibilities
- To manage a defined caseload using evidence based /client centered principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions, maintaining associated records.
- To provide a high standard physiotherapy service to the specialist caseload across various sites within Tower Hamlet as the service requires.
- To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse presentations and complex physical and psychological conditions to provide a diagnosis and develop and deliver an individualized treatment program.
- To provide leadership for more junior staff, as agreed with senior staff.
- To deputies for the Senior Physiotherapists in their absence as required.
- To supervise Physiotherapy students on clinical placements.
- To participate in CPD and develop skills and knowledge through participation in the in service training scheme.
- To undertake lone working when required.
- To be able to work flexibly and participate in potential future 7 day working developments (when required)
