Job summary
This is a training role within the NHS Talking Therapies Programme. The post-holder willwork within Bedfordshire Talking Therapies Service providing high intensity interventionswhilst undertaking the post graduate training required for this role. This intensive trainingpost will equip the post holder to provide a cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) service toclients with a range of complex problems for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinicallyeffective. The post holder will work in the service for three days of the week using the newlydeveloped skills whilst attending the training programme for the other two days.The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, usinginterpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.
Main duties of the job

- A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following at graduate level in mental health nursing, medicine, social work, occupational therapy, psychotherapy or psychotherapeutic counselling, clinical or counselling psychology, teacher or special needs educator or probation officer.
- Or Qualified PWP, with 2 years post qualification experience in NHS Talking Therapies. Evidence of meeting the Knowledge Skills and Attitude (KSA) requirements of BABCP.
