Bank Administrator Band 3

Assignments could potentially be anywhere across Bedfordshire. A willingness to travel to travel to a variety of bases is beneficial.Being employed on the Bank is a great way to gain experience and exposure to the NHS. You will be temporarily covering administration posts in teams, wards and departments in a mental health and community services settings to provide cover for planned and unplanned shortfalls in administration staffing.The Trust employs over 400 administration staff and at times we require cover for a range of roles from reception, medical secretary, personal assistant, ward administrators, community team administrators etc. It would be helpful if you can state on your application which roles you have experience in and which you would be interested in most.If successful at interview you will be employed by the Trust and contacted when a shift or role needs to be covered. This can be for a shift/session, a day, a week or perhaps more. Sometimes shifts can arise at short notice. You will be paid by the Trust on a weekly basis.The majority of our Bank staff go on to secure permanent posts with the Trust.

To provide an effective administrative support to Managers, Officers and clinical staff withinthe teams.

To work closely with the Lead Administrators to provide an efficient and responsiveadministrative provision to the teams ensuring service delivery is met.

To be responsible for taking ownership and contributing to the development of administrationsystems for the Service; by providing day to day administrative support.The post requires the ability to work on own initiative and to liaise effectively with a broadrange of professionals and to maintain client confidentiality.To work alongside and to cover all Administrative areas, when required and requested andto cover other administration staff across several locations as and when theneed arises.

  • Ability to prioritise workload, and plan and organise own time effectively
  • 40-45 wpm typing speed

  • Ability to work flexibly without direct supervision and prioritise workload, and plan and organise own time effectively.

  • Other windows packages for example Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Experience

  • Experience of working in an administrative capacity within a team setting.

  • Experience of Minute taking.
  • Basic Cash Flow Management
