Job summary

ELFT are seeking an experienced psychologist to lead the psychological therapies offer in our mental health services in Mid-Bedfordshire. The vacancy is for a 1.0 wte position on a 12 month fixed term basis to cover a maternity leave.

Main duties of the job

You will need excellent clinical skills and a strong drive for working collaboratively as part of teams and systems to develop and improve services. The role provides senior clinical and strategic input for our CMHTs based in Biggleswade and Ampthill which provide services for adults with complex and severe mental health difficulties. As we continue in our local mental health service redesign in context of the Long Term Plan and Transformation of services, the post-holder will have oversight of the psychological workforce and service delivery across blended primary/secondary systems in the area.

The successful applicant will be experienced in working with this client group, have a track record of working to develop and support multidisciplinary approaches and pathways, and experience of the management of demand and flow through services. Experience in supervision, consultation, leadership, and service development is essential, along with highly developed clinical skills in assessment and intervention for people presenting in secondary care mental health services. They will provide supervision to psychological workforce working in these services.
