An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior 8b Clinical Psychologist to contribute to the Psychology Professions Workforce Development Plan focusing on East London ELFT and developing strategies supporting the diversification of the psychology workforce. The post holder will be committed to maintaining a strong focus on collaboration and co-production of workstreams, ensuring all projects understand service user, carer, and staff needs and views.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will play a role in coordinating a CPD programme across the Trust for psychology staff to develop a sustainable and skilled workforce with links to participating HEI providers, and to develop plans that contribute to psychology staff recruitment, retention and engagement across the Trust. This will include placement development in the Trust for Trainee Clinical Psychologists and to support host services to provide high quality training placements.

Essential

  • Post Graduate Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology or equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

Desirable

  • Relevant specialist training or qualifications

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist for a minimum of 4 years including substantial post-qualification experience within speciality.
  • Experience of working with teams and team leads to provide specialist psychological consultation, advice and support.
