An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Mental Health Nurse/Social Worker Band 6 to work within the Newham Early Intervention Service (NEIS).
We are looking to recruit someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic and passionate about applying Biopsychosocial intervention/recovery model within Community setting. This post would be suitable for someone with a strong interest in Psychosis and Early Intervention.
Newham Early Intervention is a psychosis service for adults aged 18 - 65 years old, from a range of religious, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, experiencing first onset of psychosis.
Early intervention for psychosis services aim to reduce the prevalence and impact of psychosis by reducing the duration of untreated psychosis and engaging clients in training and work as well as offering support and psychological interventions.
Newham Early Intervention Service provides an integrated service to those individuals and their families/carers suffering from the consequences of mental illness, enabling them to live a fulfilled life as possible within the community and promotes recovery.
Main duties of the job
This means working with service users and carers, their families and the wider community to help them lead purposeful lives, breaking down the barriers of stigma that often accompany mental health problems and leading to social isolation.

- Formal qualifications in health or social care, e.g., RMN, Dip SW, etc. Post registration experience
