CRT South has 1 vacancy for a Community Mental Health Nurse (Band 6)

We are looking to recruit an experienced and highly motivated Community Recovery Worker to work within the Newham Community Recovery Teams (CRT). This post would be suitable for someone with experience and/or a strong interest in psychosis, caseload, and crisis management.

Newham Community Recovery Team (CRT South) was set up for adults aged 18-65 years old, from a range of religious, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, with a long history of Psychosis and requires care coordination in the community.

The CRTs provide an integrated service to those individuals and their families/carers suffering from the consequences of mental illness, enabling them to live as fulfilled a life as possible within the community and promote recovery. This means working with service users and carers, their families, and the wider community to help them live purposeful lives, breaking down the barriers of stigma that often accompany mental health problems and lead to social isolation.

The postholders will be based within the CRTs and will be employed on a permanent basis.

Main duties of the job

Be a member of the Recovery Team who is responsible for the delivery of services to people who are residents of Newham and have a severe mental health issue.Establish a network of relationships with statutory and non-statutory organisations including inpatient services, Community Integrated Mental Health Teams, local authority, education, vocational and leisure facilities, and maintain a database/resource of such organisations.Be involved in service evaluation data that includes service user and carer feedback. Supervise and co-ordinate the work of trainees/students of your related profession, as appropriate.
