Job summary
The Commercial Development Directorate (CDD) is responsible for Contract Management, Procurement, Business Development and Tendering across an Outstanding Rated Mental Health and Community NHS Foundation Trust. Due to one of our valued team members moving on to pastures new after a number of years with us we have an exciting opportunity within the Contract Team. Working in an innovative Trust, you will be responsible for robust contracting and compliance management processes across a portfolio of contracts.
Main duties of the job
The CDD has expanded to address the demands of the changing healthcare market. This includes responding to the NHS Long Term Plan, Mental Health Five Year Forward View and other commissioning opportunities, addressing the changing commissioning & delivery landscape and leading on new business opportunities.
This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the team, working in an innovative Trust and contributing towards the Trust modernisation in an advanced integrated healthcare system. Reporting to the Trust Contract Manager the candidate will provide a range of support to the Contracts Team in delivering a high quality service in the commissioning, contracting and performance management of service contracts.
We are looking for a resourceful, organised and adaptable individual with highly developed written and verbal communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity to support senior colleagues across the Trust at a strategic level to meet the Trust objectives in delivering value for money and improving the quality of our services.
This is a varied role in which you will have a range of learning opportunities to build and develop experience and skills including procurement, contract compliance, project management and business development.
