Tower Hamlets Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (TH CAMHS)

East London NHS Foundation Trust - This is an exciting time for ELFT. Our vision is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations. We want to improve the health of the populations we serve, improve their experience of care, improve staff experience and improve value. Working with our communities and partners is to key to achieving this

Main duties of the job

We are looking for clinical psychologists who are passionate about working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental difficulties. We would welcome applications from newly qualified clinical psychologists, putting in place appropriate clinical supervision to support the transition post qualification.

The role would entail a clinical caseload, as well as opportunity to contribute to ASD assessment clinics. there would scope for the successful candidate to undertake ADOS-II and 3Di training (for completing Autism assessments) if this has not already been completed. Whilst the role is based within the Neurodevelopmental pathway there is also the possibility to join another pathway (Emotional & Behavioural - mood/anxiety difficulties, Emotional & Behavioural - conduct difficulties, Bipolar & Psychosis, Front Door) to align with the successful candidate's interests. In addition, there would be the opportunity to join with Family Therapy clinics and access to monthly Clinical Psychology meetings within TH CAMHS.

Quality Improvement is a cornerstone of ELFT and there would be opportunity to join in with wider service development initiatives.

People Participation is an integral part of our co-production work with individuals, and there are various possibilities to engage with this work if this is of interest.

TH CAMHS has close links with the North Thames training courses, and we regularly have trainee clinical psychologists on placement with us.

About us

TH CAMHS provides flexible, evidence-based service providing episodes of care, assessments and treatments to a wide variety of clinical presentations.

The service includes professionals from various disciplines including psychiatry, nursing, social workers, psychology, occupational therapy, psychotherapy and family therapy, who come together to provide high quality holistic care for young people and their families.

TH CAMHS is based at Greatorex Street, with nearby underground and overground stations. The area is serviced well by bus routes and Santander bike stations.
