Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of physiotherapy assessments and treatments to Adult Services - outpatient musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, Community Neuro Service, Inpatient Therapies, Extended Primary Care Teams and Learning Disabilities Service (Hackney)

This will include assessing and treating patients with a variety of needs providing physical assistance, advice, rehabilitation and emotional support.

This post is part of a 4 monthly rotation scheme covering a variety of settings.

The post holder will be expected to participate in evening and weekend work for Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and the Extended Primary care teams and emergencies duties once deemed competent.

  • oEvidence of relevant ongoing professional development since qualification

Experience

  • oPhysiotherapy experience in managing patients in a range of core skill areas i.e. neurology, respiratory, outpatients etc.

Desirable

  • oPhysiotherapy experience in managing patients in a range of core skill areas i.e. neurology, respiratory, outpatients etc.

Knowledge and Skills

  • oGood organization skills e.g. time keeping, time management, prioritization skills
  • oProactive and self-directed in learning
  • oProfessional and accepting responsibility for own actions
  • oAble to use initiative but aware of when to ask for help
  • oAble to work independently as well as in a team
  • oFlexible and adaptable to new/unexpected situations
  • oDemonstrate good communication skills - written and oral
