Job summary

Community Paediatric Dietitian Band 6 - 37.5hrs/week caring for children with dietetic needs in the community.

Are you an experienced Dietitian looking for a new challenge in the community setting? If so we have the perfect job for you! Come and work for us and gain fantastic skills working in our Nutritional Support Dietetic Team based within our Community Children's Nursing Service. You will gain skills assessing and advising children with dietetic requirements within clinic settings. Your caseload would primarily be babies, children, and young people (BCYP) requiring home enteral feeding and neurological/ developmental disorders requiring nutritional support in the community.

Main duties of the job

You need to have experience working with NHS dietetics, holding a current HCPC registration to be considered for this post.

If you are interested in moving from adults into paediatrics we would welcome you to contact us to discuss this as a possibility.

You are required to have skills in dietetic assessment and treatment programmes. You need to be confident in making recommendations to GPs on appropriate prescribing of oral nutritional supplements and enteral feeds alongside the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-agency team. Good communication skills are a must alongside a flexible and forward-thinking attitude.
