Job summary
The Bedfordshire Podiatry Service are looking to recruit either aqualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Band 8a) or a suitablyexperienced clinician willing to undertake training as a Trainee ACP(Band 7) to lead the Acute Diabetic Foot Service onsite at Luton &Dunstable Hospital.
Main duties of the job
For the qualified role the successful candidate must have completedan accredited Master's in ACP. For the trainee role, the candidatemust be able to demonstrate that they would meet all the entryrequirements of their chosen university or are currently undertakingthe ACP course.For anyone taking up the trainee role, the Trust will support thesuccessful candidate onto the ACP training programme at theirchosen university and throughout their training for the 3 years of theACP Master's, with appropriate supervision and practise-basedlearning.When they qualify, the trainee would then move into a qualified ACProle at Band 8a within the Podiatry Service.The post holder will work to a job plan that ensures all 4 pillars ofadvanced practice are maintained. The post holder will support thedelivery of policy generation and delivery, providing clinicalleadership to achieve a quality, evidence based service, excellence inclinical practice, this together with continuous professionaldevelopment are integral to the role and development of the service.
