COMMUNITY EATING DISORDERS TEAM (CEDS)

There are new and exciting developments happening in within the service and we are expanding our core Eating Disorders team and developing a whole new intensive home treatment programme
Main duties of the job
The Eating Disorder Specialist post holder will work alongside a team assessing and treating adolescents with complex eating disorders and co-morbid disorders in some cases. It will involve an element of liaison/ Triaging work and responding to urgent presentations.
About us
The current CEDS is a supportive and multidisciplinary team which works with the young people of Bedfordshire and Luton presenting with eating disorders such as Anorexia, Bulimia, ARFID and comorbidities such as depression, anxiety and OCD. We were originally set up to try to intervene early toprevent the need for hospital admissions, but with the current increase in referrals due to the pandemic, following the lockdowns/closure of schools many of our young people are presenting acutely unwell, hence the additional recruitment to a new Intensive Home Treatment Service in addition to our Core CEDS Team.
We are looking for 2 full time, enthusiastic and experienced, Specialist CAMHS Practitioners to provide care to children and families affected by eating disorders, as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
