About us

Are you an experienced Band 5 Physiotherapist looking for your next career move? Or a Band 6 thinking of a career in Community Physiotherapy?

Then why not join the South West Locality Therapy Team in Tower Hamlets.

As a Band 6 Community Physiotherapist you will be responsible for providing highly skilled therapy interventions to patients who reside in the E1 and E1W postcodes of the Borough of Tower Hamlets. You will be promoting the health of this population and reducing the effects of ill health, disability and maximising the individuals potential for independence.

Our team is part of a wider established integrated service. This will give you the opportunity to work closely with our District nurses, Occupational Therapists, Care Navigators, Mental Health Liaison Nurse and Psychologist. Our service is also supported by a team of experienced administrators. You will also have the opportunity to work closely with the local General Practices, Tower Hamlets Social Service team and other statutory and non-statutory services to meet the health and social needs of this local population.

The integration and collaboration of all these disciplines and services allows all new admissions to our service to have a clinically robust assessment and treatment plan, with an emphasis to promote independent living, that is holistic, evidence based and in line with all current Best Practice Guidelines.

  • Evidence of CPD maintained portfolio including attendance at recent post graduate courses relevant to this post

Experience

  • Clinical experience in a broad range of specialties & the ability to work as a key person within the scope of practice in the Multi-disciplinary team
  • Knowledge of a broad range of clinical conditions particularly working with older people and multi-pathologies
  • Experience in conducting appraisal & supervision for junior members of staff
