Band 7 Highly Specialist Occupational Therapists-Paediatrics

We have an exciting opportunity for passionate Occupational Therapists with highly specialist skills and knowledge in the field of paediatrics. If you have extensive knowledge of working with children and YP in the community across all settings, then we want to hear from you.

We are looking for those who can help be part of our already existing Leadership Team of Band 7s to get ready to bring about this change.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for those who can help be part of our already existing Leadership Team of Band 7s to get ready to bring about this change.

The successful candidates

Will carry a mixed complex caseload of children and young people ranging from 0-19 years of age.

Will lead on the development of a clinical pathway alongside the clinical lead, sound in evidence based practise.

Will help launch of our new exciting Sensory Zone, linking in with the work we are already doing on feeding, messy play, sensory preferences and sensory environments.

Will deliver specialist interventions in the following areas, behavioural feeding, upper limb splinting, postural management, and early intervention for children with complex physical conditions,

Will work alongside our MDT colleagues in supporting complex assessments and delivering joint therapy interventions.

  • oRecognised Occupational Therapy Degree/Post graduate degree Qualification or equivalent
  • oHealth Professions Council - Licence to Practice

  • oPost Graduate Experience of working between 4-5 years with evidence of consolidation of core OT competencies
