The East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) provides a wide range of community and inpatient services to children, young people, adults of working age, older adults and forensic services to the City of London, Hackney, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Bedfordshire and Luton. In Tower Hamlets the Trust provides high standard mental health services for children and young people based on strong partnerships with the Borough's education and social care services, community health services and voluntary/third sector agencies.
Tower Hamlets is a rapidly growing, vibrant inner-city borough with a young ethnically diverse population who experience some of the highest levels of deprivation in the country. There is a high prevalence of mental health difficulties amongst young people and a high proportion of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). In December 2018 Tower Hamlets was named a trailblazer site to pilot the Green Paper Transforming Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Provision initiatives to improve mental health support in school settings. The Green Paper ambitions fit with Tower Hamlets existing strategic direction for Children and Young Peoples Mental Health, to build capacity for early intervention and prevention across local partnerships.
Main duties of the job

The Tower Hamlets Education Wellbeing Service is expanding and seeking to recruit 2 experienced, CBT qualified clinicians. The post holders will work within the Schools Mental Health Support Team, (situated within CAMHS) supervising and delivering high quality, brief outcome focused evidence-based interventions including leading on whole school approach work for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties within primary and secondary school settings.

- To provide/support school based staff training and development
- To support the service leads in relation to team functioning and development
Local knowledge of Tower Hamlets and its diverse range of cultures and ethnic groups is desirable
CBT Therapist or Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
Salary: NHS Band 7: £45,780 to £51,393 inclusive of Inner London high cost area supplement
A.37.5 hours per week inclusive of training days. Permanent contract.
B.37.5 hours per week inclusive of training days. I year fixed term contract.
