Permanent - 1.0 WTE

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced and motivated CAMHS Clinicians with a passion for working with young people within our Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties Team (E&B), and Primary Schools Team (PST). You will be part of two dynamic pathways E&B, which provides a CAMHS service for young people with a wide variety of mood, anxiety and difficulties with managing behavioral expectations, and Primary Schools Team, where our embedded clinicians work with and in primary schools providing consultations, brief interventions, workshops and training.

You will be working with creative and dedicated staff in both pathways and have the opportunity to work at the very heart of Newham CAMHS as well as being provided with opportunities for community based working.

Main duties of the job

Final year trainees - newly qualifying candidates are encouraged to apply to this post.

The post will provide services within CAMHS to young people and their families within both the Emotional and Behavioral Team and the Primary Schools Team.

These are community-based posts, located within Newham CAMHS/ CFCS offering flexible, evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments to a wide variety of clinical presentations.

The post holders will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the multi-disciplinary team and some specialist pathway work as required.

The post holders will require a high degree of professional autonomy and self-management, and will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal and audit.

Essential

  • Final year trainees - newly qualifying candidates are encouraged to apply to this post, with appropriate referencing to complete training.
  • A qualification in Clinical/ Counselling Psychology, Family and Systemic Psychotherapy, Child Psychotherapy, or Nursing and Registration
  • Clinical Psychology oPostgraduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the BPS. oRegistration with HPC
  • Counselling Psychology oPostgraduate Doctorate in Counselling Psychology or its equivalent oRegistration with HPC
  • Family and Systemic Psychotherapy oMasters or Doctoral level qualification in Family & Systemic Psychotherapy or AFT agreed equivalent oUKCP registered

  • Skilled in emergency and crisis assessments

  • Able to work effectively across organisational boundaries
