One full-time equivalent Senior CAMHS Practitioner posts, Band 7. Clinical (or Family of) Psychology, Systemic Family Psychotherapy, Child Psychotherapy, Community Mental Health Nurse, other core CAMHS profession.
This exciting opportunity for the successful post holder to become part of our wider CAMHS Access Services (CAS) delivering care in the community as part of anoutstanding CAMHS Mental Health Service provider, working with an outstanding Early Help Service within a recently judged good Children's Services. CAMHS Access Pathway (CAS) is embedded in the Getting Advice and Getting Help quadrants of the THRIVE Framework Principles. Our focus is on the planning and delivery of high quality services to ensure better outcomes for Children, young people and their parent/carers in Bedfordshire.
Main duties of the job
Bedford Early Help Service provides and coordinates a range of structured support and interventions within family homes, schools and community settings, to help families overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes. The senior embedded CAMHS worker will be an integral part of that collaborative offer of support and working with a highly skilled, stable, and committed workforce.The successful candidate would sit within Bedford Borough Children's Services teams as a mental health lead and to be accountable for the direct development and provision of a specialist mental health service for children and families with emotional, behavioural, mental health difficulties. To be delivered through Integrated Early Help Teams, CAMHS North Beds Integrated School Programme and the Bedfordshire CAMHS SPOE.
The post holder will use their expertise to lead on advice, consultation, assessment and treatment plans for children, young people and families, presenting with early onset of emotional and/or behavioural needs within Bedford Borough to prevent moderate to severe mental health problems developing, using the iThrive model.
The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the direct development and provision of a specialist mental health service for children and families with emotional, behavioural, mental health difficulties delivered through Integrated Early Help Teams, School Programme and the Bedfordshire CAMHS SPOE.
About us
This post is based in Bedford Town Centre, Bedfordshire, close to the M1 and easily reached by car / train from London, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire to the South and Northamptonshire to the North.
All clinicians are supported by very dedicated and efficient administrative staff. Most of the work will be community based in GP practices, although there will also be some office based and home working.
