Job summary
We are currently seeking a Substance use & Mental Health Integration worker.
As part of the transformation of Bedfords community mental health services, in line with the long-term plan, we are developing services to improve accessibility and to improve the care offer for individuals where substance use and complex mental health needs coexist.
A key component of the role will be contributing to decision making as part of the multi-agency mental health huddle and you will champion the needs of those with substance use, ensuring that they are introduced to the most appropriate support.
This is a fantastic career development opportunity for a registered mental health professional with experience of working in substance use services to be actively involved in developing this role within the new integrated community mental health offer.
Main duties of the job
In this role you will work across our specialist drug and alcohol treatment service (P2R) and our newly developed core mental health team to provide the interface to support a seamless offer. You will provide consultation and advice regarding substance use and complex mental health issues. Working as part of the integrated team you will work with our substance use outreach support worker to develop and deliver support and treatment for a defined caseload of individuals.
