Job summary
The post holder will be a senior CAMHS clinician and will provide support to the clinical leadership and operational management of the multi-disciplinary teams and projects within the service.
The post holder will provide leadership to all non-medical CAMHS staff in the borough, working closely with the Associate Clinical Director, General Manager and other clinical leads and designated professional leads. They will hold an overview within the service of the balance and range of psychological therapies available, acting as a specialist resource and source of advice for multidisciplinary team leads.
The post holder will be accountable to the Associate Clinical Director for delivering a multidisciplinary CAMHS service, bringing together all component parts to ensure robust patient safety, improved patient experience, clinical outcomes, quality and performance standards. They will deliver on performance targets and quality outcomes in order to transform the service, improving access to and choice of evidence based therapies and building capability to deliver positive and measureable outcomes for children and young people and their families.
Main duties of the job
An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and experienced CAMHS clinician to take on the key leadership role of Psychological Therapies Lead in Newham CAMHS.
Newham CAMHS has undergone significant service modernisation in recent years and has a reputation for responsiveness and innovation in community approaches to delivering CAMHS and multi agency partnership working. The service embraces change and the staff and management team have a high degree of enthusiasm for quality improvement.
You will be a senior CAMHS clinician who can contribute fully to the clinical, professional, strategic and external partnership agenda of Newham CAMHS. This is a pivotal leadership role within the service. Working in partnership with the Associate Clinical Director for Newham CAMHS and the General Manager, you will provide inspirational leadership of multidisciplinary clinicians to ensure effective, evidence based assessment and treatment, accessible care pathways and a culture of continuous quality improvement.
