ELFT Remote IAPT Service (ERIS) is seeking to appoint remote-working online therapists Band 7 (HI-CBT): 1-year fixed term contract.
Work from home, or anywhere in the UK, by taking advantage of this brand-new opportunity to join ERIS, an innovative and forward-looking completely remote IAPT service, within the NHS, which places emphasis on staff wellbeing and development, particularly as we fully emerge from the effects of the pandemic.
This is a chance to work flexibly, within the service hours of 8am - 8pm Mon-Thursday, and 8am - 5pm on Fridays to deliver individual therapy, triages and group interventions via a range of modalities, remotely supporting the work of the four community IAPT services in the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT) which has been rated Outstanding by Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is committed to ensuring a healthy work/life balance and a positive working environment. All clinical appointments are delivered via MS Teams or telephone.
The successful candidates will also help support an IAPT aligned service with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. ERIS will provide all of your equipment to be able to fulfil your role comfortably. The successful applicant will deliver one to one interventions at step 3, complete assessments and help to deliver group interventions to SHSCT service users. You will be working alongside both ERIS and SHSCT colleagues in Northern Ireland in your day-to-day work.
Main duties of the job
ERIS delivers a range of psycho-educational and high-intensity therapeutic interventions remotely via video, telephone and typed text-based sessions, ensuring the highest quality care for our patients and supporting therapist development through excellent supervision, line-management and bespoke CPD. Our posts are formulated to allow for development of clinical expertise in appropriate clinical areas.
About us
We value training and qualifications in other high intensity therapies and will support those wishing to develop their careers by training in other recognised modalities. (CPD). The post-holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary.
The post-holder will work with clients who present with a range of complex anxiety disorders, post- traumatic stress disorder and depression related problems at step 3 for which CBT is demonstrated to be clinically effective. The post holder will carry out telephone and web-camera based face to face assessments as part of their case load and depending on service need.

- HCPC registered Counselling or Clinical Psychologist (eligible for BABCP accreditation) OR Relevant specialist trainings or qualifications in other High Intensity Therapies and accreditation with professional body
- Psychological Therapist/High Intensity therapist (CBT) with a core mental health training e.g. nursing, social work, accredited and registered by BABCP, UKCP and HPC
- All applicants must be BABCP accredited or eligible to apply for accreditation within 6 months
