Job summary

1 year fixed term and/or possible secondment opportunity.

Our MHST's highly regarded Team Lead will be taking an extended leave of absence for a year starting in early 2022. We, therefore have an exciting opportunity for a senior clinician who wishes to develop their leadership skills in a busy established MHST with 2 wave 1 teams now in their fourth year, and a recently established Wave 6 team, who are about to complete their training year.

In addition to 12 Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) posts, the team has a number of CYP-IAPT trained supervisors from a range of CAMHS professions, including a specialist worker to service our local Special Needs Schools provision. We also have 3 Educational Psychologists on secondment for part of their working week from our local Educational Psychology Service, and a full time administrator and communications officer.

We have gained a training place to support the development of a senior EMHP post starting in 2023.

The MHST works closely with our Wellbeing and Mental Health Service in Schools (WAMHS) who offer whole school approaches alongside the MHST to schools in City & Hackney. In the next year we will be working to construct an integrated schools service with the guidance of our service users and communities.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for confident CAMHS professionals who are keen to develop their skills in leading the provision of evidence based interventions to children and young people both within schools. You will have a demonstrable track record of providing collaborative and supportive interventions with children, young people, families, and parents/carers . You will be either a Nurse, Social worker, OT or Psychologist with the requisite professional registration. The community served is multi-ethnic and culturally diverse and we welcome applicants who are skilled at working with the richness and complexity of our multicultural community.

We offer an exciting and dynamic environment where your ideas and career development will be valued. You will be supported directly by senior colleagues and we will continue to develop the service together. We would be pleased to consider colleagues in ELFT through secondment with the agreement of your current manager.

About us

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive - so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations
