Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic CAMHS Clinician to join our innovative multi-disciplinary Emotional & Behavioural Team (EBT) in North Bedfordshire CAMHS. The main base would be at the CAMHS office, Rush Court, Bedford, MK40 3JT and currently there is flexibility regarding working from home. We are willing to consider candidates who would like to work part-time. We would welcome applications from RMNs, Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Family Therapists and Social Workers, Occupational Therapist.
North Bedfordshire CAMHS is a dynamic and innovative service that offers a range of therapeutic interventions to young people aged 5-18 and their families. This is an exciting time in the service and the successful candidate will be able to shape and develop the service. The role includes completing assessments and offering evidence based interventions, working in a supportive MDT and having close links to schools and community services.

Main duties of the job
To provide comprehensive specialist assessments including risk assessments, of children and adolescents and their families with complex mental health problems, based on having an in depth knowledge of child development, adolescent mental health disorders and the impact of the family and school on mental health.
Based on the assessments and reports to convey sensitive, complex and sometimes unwelcome information to clients and other professionals and manage this as constructively as possible.
To provide consultation and training to professionals who come into contact and who have an important influence with children and young people who have mental health needs.
To work as a senior practitioner providing clinically effective and therapeutic interventions for children, adolescents and their families taking into account the complexities of mental health problems. This requires an awareness of the potential impact of wider systems on individuals and families, requiring intense concentration over prolonged periods on a daily basis. To be able to assess and provide the appropriate format of intervention such as: individual, family or group work .
To be able to utilize skills flexibly so that interventions can be creatively thought about, and provided at clients homes, schools, clinics or other appropriate settings

- Relevant post graduate qualification in nursing, clinical or counselling psychology, CBT Therapy, Systemic Family Therapy, Social Work or Occupational Therapy, e.g.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (Part 3/8/13 of the UKCC Register), Registered Social worker (registered with Social Work England)
- Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology
- ENB 603 or equivalent CAMHS or relevant qualification
- DIPSW/BSC SW
Desirable
- ENB 998 or equivalent teaching qualification/experie nce
- CBT training
- Masters Degree or working towards postgraduate qualification in related CAMHS or specific treatment modality.
