Job summary

We are seeking a Community Therapy Team Lead to work within the North Bedfordshire Locality, working under the Therapies Clinical Service Managers.

Main duties of the job

You will need to be a strong leader, focused on achieving real improvements in outcomes for patients and confident in your ability to support, coach and develop individuals and teams to deliver consistently high quality services. You will need to be innovative, forward thinking, self-driven with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Take pride in your work, be highly motivated and dynamic, have a flexible approach and be able to embrace change. Being a collaborative worker, with the ability to network and build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders will be essential.

Education/ Qualification/ Training

Essential

  • BSc Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy
  • Health and Care Professional Council registered
  • To be able to fill a full time post

Experience

Essential

  • Significant post graduate experience, including community experience
  • Significant experience of clinical leadership
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of partnership working
  • Evidence of and commitment to multi-professional working
  • Demonstrate experience in monitoring of staff and quality of service provided
  • Demonstrate evidence-based practice and up to date clinical skills
  • Extensive experience of complex assessment of health and social needs
  • Ability to oversee multiple caseloads and monitor quality

Desirable

  • Experience of operational service management
  • Relevant teaching/mentoring qualification and evidence of teaching skills

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

  • Literate in IT/Computer Skills
  • Flexible and self-motivated
  • Working in busy and sometimes distracting environments
  • Ability to focus and problem solve
  • Able to initiate new ideas
  • Good oral communication skills based on fluency on the English language
  • Shares the Trust's Beliefs and models this in their attitude and behaviour:
