Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist to join the Hand Therapy team within theOut Patient Therapy Department at Stepping Hill Hospital.
The post holder will work as a member of the multi professional Out Patient therapy team delivering hand therapy for patients presenting with a variety of hand related conditions. Referrals are received mainly from the hospital based Trauma and Orthopaedic service via elective and fracture clinics as well as from the established Rheumatology service and Emergency Department.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate, will be expected to work autonomously and independently, managing a caseload of hand related conditions, providing assessment and treatment , including custom made splints, as part of the multidisciplinary team.

In return, this post will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to further develop clinical skills and the department offers regular in-service training opportunities and a supervision programme to support development.
