Job summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and self-motivated Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy service based at Kingsgate House in the centre of Stockport.

The service is a busy and forward thinking provider of Adult Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy across multiple clinic sites in Stockport, receiving referrals for acute and chronic conditions from GPs, ESPs and Pain clinic. We have strong links with the acute Trust site and the Orthopaedic Assessment Service

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated person who has experience in treating a variety of Musculoskeletal Conditions within a diverse population and is able to promote self-management. Experience in leading a variety of exercise groups would be an advantage.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work well both autonomously and as part of the team. Evidence of extensive experience of working in an Outpatient Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy environment is essential and previous NHS experience is desirable. Evidence of working independently and relevant recent CPD is essential. You will be responsible for managing your own patient caseload within a supportive and experienced team and there will also be the opportunity to lead a variety of exercise groups, supervise assistants and students. You will be expected to contribute to service development initiatives and be involved in regular audits. You will be able to consolidate and build on your skills with regular in-service training and clinical supervision. We have an established appraisal system with which to actively support your Continued Professional Development.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Band 5 physiotherapist
