Job summary
This is a pivotal leadership role working within our collaboration footprint of Stockport & Tameside, playing a critical part in shaping, and securing our future workforce capabilities. As the Head of Strategic Workforce Transformation, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to ensure we have the right people, in the right places, with the right skills, to deliver outstanding patient care and achieve our overall organisational goals.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead the strategic workforce planning agenda for both Stockport and Tameside, working closely with colleagues and wider stakeholders from across the collaboration footprint, supporting them to workforce plan effectively and bring to life the ambitions within the People and OD Plan.
Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the post holder will lead on the development of workforce plans within the NHS Operational Planning Cycle, offering scrutiny and support to service change and alignment of the education and commissioning agenda to effectively plan for future workforce requirements. Leading the strategic workforce planning function in terms of strategy, policy, team leadership and promotion of best practice resources.

Develop and lead the implementation of our strategic workforce plan, including the alignment of workforce plans with the Trusts overall strategy, conducting workforce analysis and forecasting, identifying skill gaps, and developing solutions, and ensuring effective resource allocation.

Provide strategic, specialist advice on the workforce impacts and implications of short to long term plans, enabling the achievement of present and future business challenges and provide best quality patient care within financial parameters.
