Job summary
The HR Business Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team and the wider People Directorate, leading on the provision of a high quality, responsive and comprehensive human resources Service. Providing support and advice to identified business areas (clinical divisions and corporate functions) to support the implementation of our People Plan and Divisional Group plans.
Working collaboratively with our partner organisations.
Main duties of the job
Act as a HR Business Manager to a defined business area(s) working alongside senior management teams within Divisions to develop a thoroughunderstanding of business plans and people issues to ensure workforce requirements are identified and support planned and delivered in a timelybasis.
To act as a change agent to proactively facilitate and deliver improvements to services.
Develop the management capability of line managers, coaching and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to handle staff managementresponsibilities effectively.
Influence and drive business thinking and develop HR approaches that support operational business objectives organisational design andresource plans.
Promote a positive climate of employment relations within the Trust, to support the implementation of a partnership approach and develop andmaintain good working relationships with representatives of Trade Unions and staff organisations.
Take an active role working within the Divisions to achieve financial targets, including collaborative working with the Finance Department.
To undertake various projects as directed by the Director of People & OD/Deputy Director of People & OD.

- Post Graduate HR Qualification with CPD to support or equivalent experience
- Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (MCIPD) or equivalent experience
Knowledge

- Previous knowledge of working within an HR BP model
- Good generalist knowledge of working in an NHS environment
- Excellent knowledge of change management, TUPE, performance management, equality & diversity, redundancy
- National, regional and local agenda/priorities for health and social care
- Employment legislation
