Job summary
The post holder will be based at Stepping Hill Hospital and will be responsible for providing general admin support within the Trauma and Orthopaedics secretarial team as well as developing audio typing skills to support with the typing of clinical correspondence.
The post-holder will be required to use computerised systems such as Patient Administration System (PAS/Patient Centre), Advantis, Theatreman, and Pathway Monitoring System (PMS).
Main duties of the job
- To provide clerical support to the Trauma & Orthopaedic Secretarial team.
- To open mail, collate patient results and scan to patient electronic record.
- To collect patient notes as required.
- To contact patients to confirm planned surgery dates.
- To monitor patient results using test tracker system.
- To process patient letters to prepare for postage.
- To take minutes of weekly departmental meetings.
- To assist with the typing of clinical correspondence.
