A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a friendly and supportive Business Intelligence Team. We are seeking 2 Senior Information Analysts to support our Women & Children's (WC) and Clinical Support Services (CSS) operational divisions.
Reporting to the Head of Operational Intelligence, these roles will provide high quality performance information and analysis, benchmarking, forecasting and modelling to support effective performance management and evidence-based decision making to support and improve health care delivery.
For CSS there will be a specific focus on support for areas such as Endoscopy, RTT and Outpatients, and for WC the focus will be on Maternity, Gynaecology and Paediatrics, however at a time when demand for robust information to support business planning and transformation is increasing and the NHS information agenda is rapidly changing, the ability to work as a flexible team member is essential.
The post holder will represent the Business Intelligence function at senior level meetings both internallyand externally, they will be required to liaise closely with Trust wide clinical and operational teams, supporting their decision making by providing in-depth specialist information, reports, analysis and recommendations.
The role is offered on a hybrid working pattern, working two days a week in the office as you will be expected to attend face to face meetings and provide support to colleagues working on-site.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective information analytical service supporting the Trust through the provision of high quality information analysis. You will provide specialist advice and guidance on data analysis and measurement, develop performance management reporting, indicators and dashboards to support effective decision making.
You will have a strong track record in analytics, an eye for detail, excellent communications skills, be proactive, methodical, an enthusiastic self-motivated team player capable of balancing several competing demands, you will work logically, with great attention to detail and be tenacious in resolving problems.
You will have knowledge of NHS datasets, definitions and standards and will possess strong technical skills in SQL and Excel to an advanced level. You will have experience of creating insightful reports and dashboards (ideally using Tableau).
You must be willing to attend meetings,have good powers of persuasion and be confident to present complex, sensitive or contentious information to senior staff.
