Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Transformation Team at Stockport NHS FT as the Senior Transformation Manager.

The role will support the Assistant Director of Transformation, taking a lead role for managing major service transformation programmes across the organisation which includes the integration agenda across health and social care.

The post holder will be expected to engage key stakeholders in the delivery of a number of programmes through the management of complex change and transformation in order to secure optimal service outcomes.

The post holder will act as ambassador for transformation and promotion of a range of recognised quality improvement approaches and change management models to identify opportunities to support teams to deliver their financial, activity, user experience and clinical and quality outcomes and supporting teams to implement new clinical care pathways which improves health and wellbeing.

The post holder will drive and enable innovation and maintain a continuous improvement culture amongst staff, leading by example by constantly challenging current practice, whilst identifying opportunities for improvement for the benefit of our patients. They will support the delivery of the continuous improvement strategy across the organisation.

The post holder will have line management responsibility for the Transformation Team over a range of cross cutting programmes, including training and development, monitoring of work and progress.

Main duties of the job

Communications:

  • Develop and maintain strong networks and partnerships in order to support the delivery of transformation programme objectives.
  • Engage clinicians, managers, and other staff in developing an environment and culture which is focussed on providing efficient and effective services for patients.
  • Act as a catalyst for change, ensuring that solutions and outcomes are based upon recognised best practice and innovation.
  • Communicate effectively with senior managers and clinicians demonstrating excellent negotiation, influence and persuasive skills.
  • Produce highly complex and comprehensive reports regarding project plans, risks, and issues.

Planning & organising:

  • Provide expert strategic leadership, implementing complex large-scale change across the hospital, community and the wider health & social care economy.
  • Provide expertise and senior leadership on the transformation agenda aligned to the delivery of long term strategic plans.
  • Act as the lead expert and an advisor to key stakeholders on the detail of specific programmes, best practice across the national community, and the best ways to implement at a local level.
  • Develop medium/long term service objectives which are driven by local and national priorities, safe patient care, patient experience, robust information, evidence of capacity and demand analysis & clinical governance requirements.
  • Lead and provide assurance on the programme management of a number of improvement and development programmes and projects.
