Job summary

FULL TIME & PART TIME HOURS AVAILABLE

Surgical ward covering various specialities. Opportunities to expand knowledge. Working with a supportive team. Caring for diverse and assisting in their recovery, providing both physical and psychological support.

Main duties of the job

To communicate effectively with both patients and staff.

To assist with activities of daily living , to help maximise patients recovery for discharge.

Ensuring confidentiality at all times ,maintaining patients dignity and respect.

Basic computer skills desirable

To perform routine household maintenance activities

Under the supervision of a registered nurse to assist with patient care activities.

To maintain confidentiality of patient information.

To carry out any tasks required to maintain the safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the ward area.

To carry out duties as required, meeting all aspects of ward catering.

To carry out routine household management/maintenance activities.

To maintain patient dignity.

Work closely with other healthcare professionals in order to provide patients with exceptional care.

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salaryIn addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
