Practice Education Practitioner (Band 5) - Permanent Post

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Education Team at Stockport NHS FT for a highly motivated individual who has a passion for education and developing others. The new post holder will be an integral part of the Practice Education team, supporting learners throughout the Trust as and developing the quality of Supervision and Assessment. The successful candidate will require current experience working within the clinical environment and will be expected to support learners on placement.

The post holder will be a Registered Nurse or AHP with at least 12 months practice experience and be able to demonstrate commitment to continued professional development. A good knowledge of the new NMC Future Nurse standards for Nurses and Nursing Associates, along with thorough understanding of the Clinical Educator role, is essential.

Main duties of the job

If you believe that the delivery of high quality education is vital to the development of the current and future healthcare workforce, we would like to hear from you.

In this role you will be mainly working in a variety of clinical areas, supporting all learners in their practice, and Supervisors/Assessors and Educators to understand the principles of quality and student support. You will be liaising with Learning Environment Leads and ensuring that required Quality Assurance measures are in place for each placement.

You will be supported by the Practice Education Facilitators to provide expert guidance to learning environments, ensuring excellent learner experience.
