There is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join the Procurement Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
The post holder is to manage the Materials Management Team and to encourage the development of supply chain solutions. The post holder will be accountable to the Deputy Head of Procurement (Operational) for the delivery of the day to day materials management function in line with the Procurement Departments' strategic goals.
The post holder will work alongside the two other Materials Management Supervisors covering their roles where required.
The post holder will foster a highly professional and responsive client service approach by proactively liaising with the wards and departments about their requirements. The post holder will seek to influence and encourage all wards, departments, theatres and community locations towards standardisation of products and savings.

- Management of staff including appraisals, performance related issues, disciplinary matters and providing support to resolve problems.
- Raise the profile of the Procurement Department.
- Look for opportunities to implement product standardisation.
- On-going savings delivery.
- Liaise with providers e.g., NHS Supply Chain.
- Promote innovation and improvements.
- Work with the Deputy Head of Procurement (Operational), and Operational Purchasing Manager to ensure all goods are supplied through cost efficient routes.
- Recognise how own work tasks align with the Procurement Departments' strategic goals.
- Undertake any additional duties allocated by senior procurement staff.
- Supporting the other Materials Management Supervisors in establishment of a Trust wide service.
