Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Band 2 Health Care assistant post within the supportive Gynaecology Ward, Jasmine Ward at Stepping Hill Hospital. This inpatient area is looking for an enthusiastic, support worker who is passionate about delivering efficient and holistic patient care to patients.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have a keen interest in expanding their knowledge and understanding of gynaecological conditions. They will be supported by a team of clinicians, nurses, and healthcare assistants to help ensure that patients receive the highest quality care possible.
Candidates will need to demonstrate a holistic, adaptable and caring approach to their work and be highly effective communicators with an ability to adapt to changing circumstance.
The team will support you to gain and enhance skills within the service.

You will work closely with the nursing team helping to provide care and support women attending outpatient clinics.You will join an established team of health care assistants, nurse, doctors and admin staff.
Duties will include chaperoning patients and supporting the nursing and medical staff, your role will also include general housekeeping tasks to help the ward run efficiently.
The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment and promote safeguarding by implementing the Trusts policies and procedures, acting promptly on concerns, communicating effectively and sharing information appropriately.
If successful, this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary.
In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
