An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Procurement Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
The role involves the provision of an efficient, cost effective, and responsive procurement service, accurately inputting requisitions while seeking improved rates and undertaking competitive exercises as agreed by the Operational Purchasing Manager.
Main duties of the job

- To ensure that all contracts and pricing documents are communicated to the Operational Purchasing Manager, and to manage your own suppliers, and others as required, within the catalogue management system (GHX).
- Problem solving relating to sourcing alternative suppliers for financial / delivery reasons.
- Assist in meeting the Procurement Departments savings target.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and Customer Service Skills.
- Raise the profile of the Procurement Department and promote the benefits of effective and best procurement practice.
- Attend meetings with Trust Stakeholders and Suppliers as and when required.
- Undertake other relevant procurement tasks as and when required.
