We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Ward 5Awho shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

5A is a busy ENT, Plastics and Gynaecology ward, we are looking for a Dynamic registered nurse to join our team and support patients to receive the best care, we pride ourself on our good team work and happy work place.

The role of the band 5 on ward 5A is diverse and has lots of training opportunities from tracheostomy to leech therapy, all training will be given to the successful candidate.

The Registered Nurse post is a vital and valued role to support in providing high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patient/clients and their families/carers. Based on a ward they work closely with the department / ward manager and multi-disciplinary team members in monitoring and maintaining policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the ward.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will participate as a member of the nursing team to provide high standard evidenced-based care, support the team of staff working in the area to deliver quality service linked to high standard patient care and support the Sisters / Charge Nurses and Senior Sister / Charge Nurse in the training and development of junior staff.

Provide essential nursing care and putting the patients first.

Administering medications when due.

Admitting, planning, evaluating and discharging patients

Communicate effectively and work in partnership with patients, nursing collages, the Multidisciplinary Team and all other relevant personnel
