Job summary

We are recruiting for a Registered Nurse - Acute Dialysis/RITA who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

This post is for a band 5 registered nurse to work within the acute dialysis team and RITA unit. You will be part of a team performing all inpatient dialysis and plasma exchange as well as working within the renal intervention and treatment area (RITA).

This is a one year secondment and an excellent opportunity to broaden your renal skills.

Main duties of the job

To provide a high standard of nursing care to meet the needs of patients with supervision and supportfrom senior colleagues.

To identify clinical changes in patients and make safe and appropriate decisions in partnership with seniorcolleagues, seeking timely advice whenever necessary.

To confident and competent when dealing with adeteriorating patient.

With decreasing levels of supervision, the nurse will plan, implement and evaluate care based on ourmodel of nursing ensuring that the needs of each individual patient.

Be responsible for the accurate recording of clinical observations and data relating to patients care,ensuring that progress is maintained and reviewed.

Be able to present and discuss relevant issues with senior colleagues and the multidisciplinary team.

To communicate with patients and families with empathy and reassurance regarding assessment, careand treatment.
