The successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to work closely with the existing surgical consultants in the Trust to provide a high standard of care across the Trust.
This is an excellent opportunity to join the General Surgery department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. - Postgraduate degree (or equivalent) related to General Surgery (eg Masters / MD / MRes / PhD etc)

- Wide range of experience in General Surgery
- Demonstrable training in Colorectal Surgery
- Experience of supervising undergraduates, doctors in training, and other colleagues
- Ability to offer and be accountable for full and independent diagnostic opinion, and to be able to take full responsibility for independent management of patients
- Can evidence leading on patient safety issues and achieving a change in practice
- Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of audit, evidencebased practice, and clinical quality improvement initiatives
