The Lead Digital Midwife supporting the Chief Nursing Information Officer (CNIO) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) leads the development and adoption of Digital to support midwifery practice.
The Lead Digital Midwife will take particular responsibility for:ensuring maternity adoption and engagement in the use of technologyand developing clinical Information that supports and enhances nursing practice and organisational efficiency. Also driving continuous clinical process improvement in the Nursing and Midwifery divisions focused on patient outcomes and efficiency.

Main duties of the job
The Lead Digital Midwife (DM) is a key leadership role central to the success of the Trust's Digital and Maternity Strategies.
You will act as a translator and main point of liaison for midwifery staff and will act as deputy for the CNIO . As a transformational leader with exemplary clinical credibility, the Lead DM will provide expert clinical advice and guidance to support the Trust's developments in Digital Technology. They will hold a recognised CSO qualification or be willing to undertake.
Be the Lead Midwife for digital with ownership and responsibility for the co-ordination and collation of data with colleagues in the maternity, digital department and external agencies where required.
Take responsibility for ensuring midwifery adoption and engagement in the use of technology
To ensure that the maternity IT system functionality is adhered to support practitioners professional standards.
Work towards the ambitions of Better Births to evaluate the maternity IT system and its abilities to meet the recommendations
