Job summary
This appointment is for a Senior Clinical Fellow in General Surgery to start in mid-April until 30th September 2025 on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. The post is based at Lister Hospital in Stevenage and you would be expected to participate on a 1:14 on call rota.
This is a fantastic opportunity within the General Surgery department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust for the successful candidate to gain experience of working in a busy general surgery department. The successful candidate will have opportunities to further their surgical knowledge through exposure to clinics, operating lists, ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings and formal teaching. The post holder will be encouraged to participate in audits, presentations and teachings. Although, this post is not recognised for training the appointee will be encouraged in their training and development within the role.

- The post will be a balance of outpatient, day case and inpatientoperating duties.
